Keith's workshop A young autistic creator's laboratory - curious, patterned, personal

StormChess is where Keith uses chess to study how thinking, teaching, art, and calm can fit together.

This is not a gaming platform. It is a real workspace built around one person's special interest and the experiments, stories, music, lessons, and observations that grow out of it.

What I'm Thinking About

Can chess change the way I think before I do math?

Keith's current experiment asks a direct question: if he plays chess before logic puzzles, do time, accuracy, or focus change? The answer is already interesting enough that it became the backbone of the whole site.

The point is not to sound official. The point is to notice a real pattern, measure it carefully, and keep going.

What I'm Building

The Pawn's Journey

Keith is developing a chess comic about a pawn moving through a board full of choices, risks, teamwork, and surprising growth. It starts as a story, but it is also a way to teach structure and courage.

Comic pages are still in development, but the idea is already part of the workshop.

What I'm Learning

Tournaments are data too

Every event gives Keith more material: scorebooks, photos, mistakes, patterns, and questions to bring back into his study notes.

What I'm Teaching

Chess becomes better when it can be shared

Keith teaches through classroom sessions, guided boards, and community work like Chess4Smiles. The goal is not hype. It is structure, patience, and real skill in a space that feels safe.

What I'm Creating

Music, art, and a book all belong here too

StormChess includes Keith's own soundtrack, original digital artwork, and his published book An Unexpected Trip to Rote. It works because the site is built around a whole person, not just one hobby.

Keith introducing StormChess in his own voice

The clearest way to understand the site is to hear from Keith directly. This short video keeps the project grounded in a real person and a real reason for building.

The video is stored locally in the site assets and uses the same hero video hooks as the rest of the redesign.
